Insider Tips for Choosing and Applying to Grad Schools

Are you considering graduate school?

The decision to apply and go to grad school can feel overwhelming, and many talented, qualified undergrads will put off applying until a decision is made for them.

Professors Dennis Goeckel (ECE) and Karen Skolfield (Writing in Engineering) will give some pro tips on a timeline and methodology for grad school applications and decisions.

Three big questions will be addressed: Why? Where? and How?

This is a great opportunity for Juniors & Sophomores to get a clear understanding of why they should or shouldn't attend graduate school, how the whole process works (it's not straighforward like undergradate applications!!!), and where to apply.

Learn how to narrow down your area of interest to get noticed, write the dreaded personal statement, and solicit the best recommendation letters. Come with any questions you have about this important process; we'll provide pizza.
